“Col” “Hail Mary’d” “Mich” In September ’94

Maybe it was noted, (I doubt it-apologize if it was) that the Hail Mary winning team Michigan as a heavy fave vs Western Michigan in first game action, lost on such a play as Colorado “Hail-Mary’d” them in a September 24th battle of ranked teams in 1994.

It was Kordell Stewart to Michael Westbrook on a deflection, each player an eventual professional, that lifted Colorado in that tilt.

Kudos to Western Michigan for a fine effort that fell short, by a ?-able second, at big time/big house, (alas Canham and they started it, not along the shore, but there, with those 105 thousand plus crowds).
