The Milwaukee Brewers Are On The Precipice Of Their First Title

October 27, 2026

The 103 wins, top seed, Milwaukee Brewers in their 56th completed Milwaukee season (no ’94 season and things end at 56, as Hemingway called him, “The great DiMaggio” ‘s streak to name one) are on the precipice of their first title.

After winning another tight game, which included more Aaron (let’s not forget Henry) Ashby relief excellence, by a (5-4) score at home, Saturday past in #2, “Milw” leading (2-0) had an 8 run 5th and cruised (10-1) over and at Tampa Bay (Rays), to take a commanding (3-0) World Series lead.

Milwaukee an astounding (10-1) in these ‘offs after the (10-1) win, will seek the title clincher in tonight’s game 4.

There is ‘mucho’ talk of the Brew Crew’s 8 run 5th inning (all runs scored after 2 were out and a correct replay review set up Brice Turang’s 2 run single off the glove of Taylor Walls), however, it was Milw (not Norweigan) “wood” again (2-0), with Christian Yelich, as he did B1 in #1 tuning in Mr. Jackson Chourio with the game’s first run and Robert Gasser yielding but one hit in 6 innings pitched, which included 4 with the game either tied or reasonably close at (2-0) Brews.

Oh do the Brewers, a comeback team in most of their post-season wins, have the “wood”/lead, (Norwegian or otherwise) as no team has ever dissipated a (3-0) World Series lead.

Likely Series MVP Chourio had 4 hits, while both Turang and Wilson Contreras, superb behind the dish, had three.

The ’76 Reds swept both the best of 5 ’76 NLCS and World Series. The Yankees at (11-1) in ’99 have the best record in years with at three tier ‘offs, which commenced in ’95. Milwaukee can match that (11-1) if they “title” tonight in #4.
