W.N.B. A. Update

The WNBA playoffs, so late this year due to an overseas event, are one game into their semi-final round.

Both home teams, the Atlanta Dream, who were slight series favorites vs the New York Liberty and the second year Golden State Valkyries, slight underdogs vs the defending champion, Las Vegas Aces won easily in the series openers.

Golden State had struggled mightily before finally dispatching the Dallas Wings in a close tilt, Friday night past.

Both the Dream and Liberty easily won their quarterfinal series in 2 straight games, the former vs the Washington Mystics, the latter doing so, against the top seeded, Minnesota Lynx.

‘El’ Aces had won a pretty easy decisive third game at home, vs the Indiana Fever.
