The Carolina Hurricanes Nee Hartford Whalers Lead (3-2) In The Cup Final
Last night, the Carolina Hurricanes nee Hartford Whalers doubled L.V. (4-2), to take a (3-2) Cup final series lead. Andre Svechnikov, Jordan Staal (a Jordan like league final), Nikolaj Ehlers and inserted goaltender, Brandon Bussi among others will be cited for their excellent play.

If “Caro” prevails, #6 is Sunday night in Las Vegas and a 7th would be Wednesday June 17th back in Carolina, it will be another “6” year crown for one of the four 2026 “semis” qualifiers, as the ‘Canes won in 7 vs Edmonton (Oilers) in 2006.
Montreal, no longer “allowed” to title as they play from Canada won the crown in ’86, ’76, ’66, ’56 and ’46 as Les Canadiens while in addition a Montreal Maroons team won it in 1926, the Canadiens’ first crown was in 1916 while the Colorado Avalanche nee Quebec Nordiques, semi’d out in 4 by L.V. , won the Cup in 1996.
Las Vegas has one title and is in their third final round in this just their ninth season, going (1-1) in previous, the win in 2023.
