Twins’ World Series Notes
It is almost certain the Minnesota Twins will win a one eighth division title and very likely, their 1987 World Series opponents, the St. Louis Cardinals will win one as well.
Additionally the other two Twins’ World Series opponents, the L.A. Dodgers (1965) and the Atlanta Braves (in same calendar 1991) have already clinched one eighth division crowns.
All three Twins’ World Series to date, went to a decisive 7th game, in the Twin Cities, L.A. winning, but the Twins doing so in both 1987 and 1991.
Claude Osteen turned the ’65 World Series around winning game 3 after the Twins had won vs greats, Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale in the first two games.
