World Series Notes
The team with home advantage in the World Series was a stellar (23-4), from the advent of the best of 7 LCS in ’85-2013. They were (15-2) from ’85-2003 and (12-1) in series contested (’85-’98). Of course no World Series was played in 1994.
However, the home advantage team is just (6-5) in the past 11 non “bubble” World Series, winning in 2015, 2018, and (2021-2024), while falling in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and last year when L.A. handed Toronto an excruciating 7th game, extra inning defeat, from which they obviously did not recover, at least, in 2026.
The Rays are (0-2) in previous World Series, the Brewers are (0-1).
Milwaukee, as the Braves, won a 7 game World Series vs the Yankees in 1957 before dissipating a (3-1) W.S. lead and losing in 7 games, to the Yankees in 1958.

Bob Turley, pictured above, had one of the great pitching performances in World Series annals as his 2 wins and one save in the last 3 ’58 World Series games was the key to the Yankees’ triumph.
