LCS Update And Notes

The Washington Nationals, playing in their first LCS or any best of seven series, have a (2-0) series lead for just the second time in 8 post-season series, after winning the first two games in St. Louis.

Meanwhile, the New York Yankees handed the Houston Astros their 5th consecutive LCS loss, winning the ALCS opener in Houston.

It is the first time in 7 Astros’ LCS (4 in the National League), that they failed to win either the series opener or the first tilt in Houston.

Washington D.C.’s only baseball title (the Senators), was 95 years ago (1924), the year after the Yankees won the first of their 27 such titles.

Joe Judge was a prominent member of that 1924 Washington Senators title team.
