William Talman On Gunsmoke

Yesterday, I really enjoyed an episode of “Gunsmoke” with guest star, William Talman on MeTV.

Talman best known as district attorney “Hamilton Burger” on another iconic television show, “Perry Mason,” played a legendary gun fighter, who wants to retire, in the episode “Legends Don’t Sleep.”

In addition to fine turns by regulars James Arness, Milburn Stone and Amanda Blake, other guest performers Hope Summers (she was “Clara Edwards” on “The Andy Griffith Show” and “Mayberry RFD”) and Scott Marlowe also stand out in their roles.

The episode aired originally, now what is so long ago, on October 12, 1963.
