Miscellaneous And Mistakes
In this year in which the actor/actress, Erin Moran, best known for her role on “Happy Days” died, golf’s U.S. Open is being played in Erin Hills, Wisconsin. “Happy Days” was set in Milwaukee WISCONSIN!
WFAN’s Mike Francesa, while speaking with Yankees’ manager Joe Girardi, referenced the “7 game streak.” It was a six game Yankees’ winning streak, NOT seven.
Rather than opine or talk vs LeBron James, a man who gets far too much attention, usually favorable but also unfavorable, I will cite and show a factual error by James below.
James in your obsession with trying to be “better than Jordan” and as a so called NBA historian, at least know your facts.
Michael Jordan was clearly not retired in 1996, leading the Chicago Bulls to what is still the most wins (72) by an NBA champion.
Below is a quote from James in which he is incorrect as to Mr. Jordan’s playing status in 1996.
“I mean in 2003, the Lakers combined Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Shaq and Kobe,” James said. “And in ’96, when Jordan was retired, the Rockets joined Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler all on the same team.”
