Eagles Ease, Up (40-6) won (40-22) Denying The Chiefs In Their Bid For A Third Straight Title

February 9, 2025

The Philadelphia Eagles stymied Patrick Mahomes, sacking him 6 times and getting 2 interceptions that yielded 14 points, and ripped the Chiefs (a second time Mahomes and Company were routed in a Supe by great defensive play, as “T.B.” (Tampa Bay) with T.B. (Brady) as their Q.B. did so in ’20, but alas K.C. and Mahomes/Reid have 3 close Supe wins) to win their second Supe in 8 seasons and moved past the Chiefs and Lions, by winning their 5th NFL crown.

Philadelphia the city was (2-10) in final round entities after the Sixers won the ’83 NBA title.

Make that (3-10) now. Look back, I said the Chiefs would not match Lombardi’s Packers with a third straight title.

However, it is hollow and one can not be sure of anything, though most of my real sports convictions were right, but only if they did not really matter.

They do not in any case.

Cooper DeJean had an interception return TD while Zach Baun, evoking Maxie Baughan of the title winning ’60 Eagles, the only team to deny Lombardi in an ‘offs tilt, had a big “int” at the K.C. 13 that led to a Jalen Hurts to A.J. Brown TD, helping Lombardi remain the only coach with 3 straight NFL crowns won in games. (The ’29-’31) Packers with the great Don Hutson as a player and Curly Lambeau as coach also won 3 straight NFL titles, however, before the first NFL title game was played in 1933
