Another WNBA Update And Liberty At Aces Tilt
Two nights back, the New York Liberty eased vs the top ranked Las Vegas Aces for a second straight time, (The Aces did so in the team’s first clash) to win an “in season” tournament.
This type of event which the far worse NBA under mercenary, pro gambling Silver will implement, meant nothing, but the women players getting a little more dough, which in their case, not for the too rich, NBA ilk, is bearable.
Las Vegas (-6) tonight (no prediction tonight) still has a 3 game loss column lead, as the Tuesday game did not count in the standings.
Sorry for not knowing that.
Hence, even if the Liberty win again tonight, Las Vegas is still likely to be the 1 seed.
However, there was a big “move” on the Liberty’s perceived chance to finally win a crown (none in their first 26 seasons and in basketball, men or women, getting “loaded up” as the Liberty were/are is akin to certain can’t miss improvement, unlike the case in baseball where the Mets, Padres, Yankees and Angels have all failed or seemingly so) as from plus 275 they are now only plus 180 in some circles.

Surely I give the WNBA more “coverage” than perhaps needed, but in my Houston and repeat titles, not long ago, I could have cited the Houston Comets won the first 4 WNBA titles. Two pictures in tribute to the now defunct franchise above.
