N.L. Central Update

Oh what a big win for the Chicago Cubs yesterday. Another thought, was it that big?

Despite a (5-14) slump before yesterday’s win at Pittsburgh vs the Pirates, the Cubs still had a six and a half game lead in the National League Central Division.

Now at the All-Star break, Chicago is (53-35) leading the St. Louis Cardinals by 7 games and the Pirates by 7 and a half games in the divisional race.

In the “standings” for National League “tournament” seeding, the San Francisco Giants lead both the Cubs and Washington Nationals by 3 games.
