Jimmy Buffett preceded by Huey Lewis and the News put on a great New Year’s Eve show

It was a magnificent New Year’s Eve concert at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center featuring Jimmy Buffett preceded by Huey Lewis And The News.

Amidst the celebratory atmosphere one might expect on New Year’s Eve and a Buffett event with his great “parrot head” fans (it was my first) the place really jumped.

Lewis did most of his big hits including “The Power of Love” on which he commented about having to sing over and over again all these years. He was terrific.

Buffett, whose mega hit “Margaritaville” was shown live or at least performed live on the ABC show still named in Dick Clark’s honor also was terrific.

Quite a night and I missed both college football semi-final games, another good happening.
